DIABETES COMPASS RADIO Tells Canadians: Yes, You!
(EDMONTON, AB) November 20, 2006 - November is Diabetes Awareness Month and Diabetes Compass Radio wants every Canadian to know that diabetes is a real threat, and yes, it can happen to you.
"Today, millions of Canadians live with diabetes, long-term complications or pre-diabetes but don't know they have it or don't manage it well. We're working hard to ensure diabetes is no longer a silent epidemic." says Dianne Lehman, Executive Producer and program host. "I urge everyone to have a take-charge attitude toward their health today, be proactive and educate yourself about your health. The reality is that diabetes will touch your life in some way. The time to respond is today, not after the damage is done."
Diabetes Compass Radio is Canada's only weekly diabetes radio show, dedicated to Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes education and awareness. This talk show features interviews with health experts and people who live with diabetes. It is delivered three ways: live web-casts and archived shows on www.diabetescompass.com and weekly radio broadcasts on Saturday mornings at 9:00 a.m. Mountain Time via AM930 CJCA Radio in Edmonton.
